I am an acrylic painter born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, painting realism with a touch of fantasy. I have been painting professionally for 13 years, drawing inspiration from the sadness, anger, beauty and joy that can be found in everyday life, interpreted through a fantastical lens.

With a BA in urban planning and sustainable development and an understanding of the systemic inequities embedded in society, I have found magical realism to be an outlet for expressing the confusing mixture of escapism, hope, anger, and childhood wonder which myself and many others are feeling in a world that awards greed and values endless growth over stewardship and community.
